Dr. Jing Liu is currently an associate professor at the College of Water Resources, the North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, China, where she also serves as Director of the Institute of Water Environment. She is a member and Deputy Secretary-General of the Water Resources Committee of the Chinese Society of Natural Resources, a member of the a member of the China Committee of the International Water Resources Association (IWRA), and a member of the UK China Association of Resources and Environment (UK-CARE). Dr. Liu is a recipient of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a thesis review expert for the Ministry of Education, and a water administration approval expert for the Department of Water Resources of Henan Province. She also serves on the editorial boards of several national and international journals.
Dr. Liu earned her Ph.D. degree in Hydrology and Water Resources from the Zhengzhou University, China in 2017. Her research interests include Water Pollution in Lakes and Rivers, Water Resources Management, Migration and Transformation of Nutrients in Surface Water and Hyporheic Zone, Water Ecological Environment Impacted by Dam-controlled Rivers, Hydrological and Water Quality Model Development, River/Lake/Wetland Health Assessment and Water Source Protection, partly sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Water Resources of the People's Republic of China and Water Resources Department of Henan Province.
Dr. Liu has published more than 30 research papers in domestic and international journals. In addition, she is a professional and academic tutor with more than 8 years' experience in higher education and teaches courses such as Water Environment Assessment and Protectionis, Hydraulic and Hydropower Engineering, Water Affairs Engineering, Urban Ecological Environment and Chemistry.
