From January 11 to 13, 2024, Associate Professor Liu and master's students Wen Li, Qiuyu Liu, Zhikang Wu, and Xianglong Zhang, in collaboration with Zisen Sun, director of Anyang's Water Resources Bureau in Henan Province, China, conducted a three-day field survey on urban water plants and sources in Anyang City.

 Utilizing drones and other technology, they assessed the surrounding environments of water plants and sources, delineated water source areas, and gathered critical data on urban pipeline networks.

The aim of this survey was to gather precise data on Anyang City's water sources, providing foundational evidence for evaluating the feasibility of discontinuing the groundwater sources for the city's third and fourth water plants.
