From October 21 to 22, 2025, under the organizationand guidance of Professor Jing Liu and Professor Huaibin Wei, team members Hanfei Xu, Chenbing Wang, Zheng Wang, and Zhihang Ma traveled to the Xiaolangdi Reservoir in Luoyang City, Henan Province, to carry out water sample collection and water quality monitoring. The aim of this monitoring was to conduct a systematic field investigation of the aquatic ecological and water environmental conditions in the reservoir bay.

Based on the actual conditions of the reservoir area, the research team established a total of six sampling points. Using professional instrumentation, on-site measurements were taken for multiple indicators including pH, chemical oxygen demand (COD), turbidity, dissolved oxygen (DO), color, water temperature (WT), flow rate, and flow velocity. The collected water samples were prelimin processed, properly preserved, and brought back to the laboratory for further analysis of key parameters such as NH3-N, total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP), COD, and plankton.

This water quality monitoring activity was a highly productive research and practical exercise, which enhanced the team members' professional sampling and field monitoring skills. The resulting data and findings will provide scientific evidence and technical support for the ecological protection efforts of the Xiaolangdi Reservoir, laying a solid foundation for regional ecological sustainable development.
